Built in 1965, the current girls locker room facility was constructed at a time when the school had no competitive girls sports teams and just three athletic clubs for girls—cheerleading/pep, swimming, and tennis. Since then, CCC has built a highly competitive and well-respected girls athletic program with 12 teams—basketball, cheerleading, cross country, golf, lacrosse, beach volleyball, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and field, and volleyball—serving nearly three-fourths of our female students.
As CCC celebrates its 60th anniversary year, our vision is to continue to transform our campus in ways to best serve our students while preserving our rich and diverse history. Following an assessment of our athletic facilities, it was determined that a renovation of the center section of the Athletic Building (referred to as the 600 Building) is needed to accommodate the needs of the female students at CCC. This renovation will create girls locker room facilities for sports teams and physical education classes; add classroom and meeting spaces, shared offices, and equipment storage; and will replace the building’s entire roof and HVAC system.
The cost associated with this change requires us to challenge our families, alumni, friends, and benefactors to be even more generous than in our past. It is our hope that after prayer and discussion you will support us in this renovation by considering a gift. You are critical to our success, and we invite you to be involved.
