The Ignite Tomorrow, Today Capital Campaign for Clearwater Central Catholic High School will transform CCC into a thriving academic campus, preparing students for innovative, collaborative and entrepreneurial futures. Encompassing 53,000 square feet, our new academic facilities will increase the number of classrooms, strengthen campus security, incorporate flexible learning spaces, and expand the use of educational technology. A new chapel, the visual symbol of our Christ-centered teachings, will provide our students a profound experience of community.

A phased approach to this ambitious building project was deliberately planned to minimize the impact on our students, faculty and staff. This plan will allow education to continue without the use of portable classrooms during construction.

The cost associated with this transformation requires us to challenge our alumni, families, friends and benefactors to be even more generous than in our past. We are prepared to travel this journey with you. Explore how your gift, along with those of the donors who have already made an early commitment to the campaign (listed below), will make this transformational vision a reality.

THE TRANSFORMATION IS ALREADY UNDERWAY!

ATHLETIC FIELD HOUSE & STADIUM NAMING

Completed October 2018

Continuing CCC’s commitment to developing the body as well as mind and spirit, the new Athletic Field House opened in October 2018. A gift from an anonymous donor, this contemporary space provides additional classroom space, an unrivaled football locker room, athletic offices, trainer’s room, equipment storage and an improved fan experience with new concessions and restrooms.

This project included the installation of a new scoreboard and the naming of the stadium in memory of CCC alumnus James Brian Thomas ’81, as well as the April 2019 installation of a new stadium entrance gate and arch.

LEARNING & ACHIEVEMENT CENTER – WING B

Expected completion: April 2019

In July, the Notre Dame building was demolished to make way for the first wing of the Learning and Achievement Center. With completion expected in April 2019, this wing will house ten contemporary classrooms equipped with updated technology in flexible learning environments.

The Joe and Jo Ann White Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (CEI), housed in Wing 1 will serve as an incubator for innovative and entrepreneurial ideas facilitating independent study as well as collaborative learning. The CEI also will provide state-of-the art technology fostering creativity, experimentation, entrepreneurship and mentoring.

LEADERSHIP CENTER

Expected completion: December 2019

This summer, the Larkin Building will come down to make way for the Leadership Center housing offices, meeting rooms and work spaces for the school’s administrative, academic, religious studies, student and alumni leadership. Located at the school’s main entrance, the Leadership Center will provide visible, controlled, secure access to campus.

LEARNING & ACHIEVEMENT CENTER – WING A

Expected completion: September 2020

Upon completion of the Leadership Center, we will bid a fond farewell to the Hurley Building, CCC’s first building, and begin construction on the final classroom wing of the Learning and Achievement Center. With fourteen new classrooms, this wing will provide the flexible learning spaces and educational technology necessary to help our students prepare for and thrive in college and the workplace.

Construction of this wing will also involve relocating the school’s main entry drive and faculty/visitor parking to ease traffic for drop-off and pick-up of students and improve visibility of the campus entry point from the street.

CHAPEL

Expected completion: TBD

The spiritual center of our campus, the 135-seat Chapel will provide our students with space for class retreats, athletic and small group prayer services, and individual reflection. The Chapel will give our students and greater CCC family, Catholic and non-Catholic alike, a profound experience of community.
